On 15 January, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was pleased to welcome Brigadier General Wojciech Ozga, Commander of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC), accompanied by Colonel Roman Piediuk, the Polish Defence Attaché to Estonia.
The Polish delegation was welcomed by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, Brigadier General Alvydas Šiuparis; the Polish Senior National Representative and Deputy Director of the Department of Military Studies, Captain (N) Rosław Jeżewski; and the Lecturer in International Relations, Mr Louis Wierenga.
The visit started with an official briefing regarding BALTDEFCOL’s mission, strategic vision, and professional military educational programmes. During the discussions, BG Šiuparis highlighted the College's robust and long-standing partnership with the Polish War Studies University, particularly within the framework of the Combined Joint Staff Exercise "Joint Resolve." Furthermore, the Commandant emphasised the ongoing and successful cooperation with the National Defence University of Ukraine.
As a key component of the visit, Brigadier Ozga delivered a guest lecture providing a comprehensive overview of JATEC’s role and objectives.
