On 4th June 2026, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted an international delegation from the German Bundeswehr Command and Staff College. The participants of the International Capstone Course, representing Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Poland, were officially welcomed by the Acting Commandant/ Chief of Staff, Colonel Huxley.
The visit started with an introductory briefing session highlighting the BALTDEFCOL's mission, vision, and diverse educational programmes, as well as the institution's pivotal role and importance in the Baltic region.
Following the briefings, the delegation attended an insightful lecture delivered by Dr Veebel, who focused on the Baltic Security Perspective. His presentation provided an in-depth analysis of regional threat perceptions, the mechanics of the ‘Small State’ defence strategy, and a comprehensive overview of the evolution of Baltic Defence Strategies post-2022.
The international visit concluded with a working meeting with the students of the Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) of the Baltic Defence College, facilitating a valuable exchange of strategic perspectives and shared professional knowledge.
