BALTDEFCOL Shares JCGSC Experience with Ukrainian National Guard Academy Delegation


On 3 June, the representatives of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) to gain insight into the structure of the Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) and the distribution of its modules.

The Ukrainian delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Commandant / Chief of Staff, Colonel Jonathan Huxley, who briefly introduced BALTDEFCOL and its key activities. The visit continued with a full and engaging programme, as the delegation spent the day together with the Director of the JCGSC, Colonel Ivo Mūrmanis, and the Operational Planning Module Coordinator, Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Albertas Kondrotas. Discussions and briefings provided an in-depth look at the structure, objectives, and practical implementation of the course.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Baltic Defence College’s modern learning and teaching facilities, offering the delegation a comprehensive overview of the academic environment supporting professional military education at BALTDEFCOL.
