NATO Approved Course - Comprehensive Operations Planning Course now in progress

The NATO Comprehensive Operations Planning Course (COPC) takes place at the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) from 10 to 21 November. This year, the course is composed of 28 students from 9 different nations.

COPC is a two-week program designed to train military officers (OF-3/OF-5) and civil servants from NATO and Partnership for Peace (PfP) nations in operational-level planning. Based on the Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive (COPD), the course prepares participants to contribute to the operational level planning process as operational level planners or functional area specialists while serving within a joint operational level headquarters, applying the Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive principles.

The curriculum includes short lectures, syndicate-led practical exercises, individual assignments, and formative tests. Participants are required to complete an online preparatory materials before attending.

In 2024, the NATO Comprehensive Operations Planning Course marked a significant milestone - it received the NATO ACT Course Certification!

Good luck to all the participants of the course!
