BALTDEFCOL welcomed Chair of the NATO Military Committee

On 19 February, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) had the exceptional opportunity to host a visit by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (CMC).

The Chairman was accompanied by RADM Alberto Sodomaco, Director of the Office of the CMC, and COL Ireneusz Gilka, Special Assistant to the CMC. They were supported by a host nation delegation consisting of MG Enno Mõts, Estonian Military Representative to NATO and the EU, and LTC Andres Soome of the Estonian Defence Forces.

The high-level delegation was welcomed by the Commandant, BG Alvydas Šiuparis, the Deputy Commandant / Chief of Staff, COL Huxley, and our Italian representatives.

The visit began with an Office Call where the two leaders expressed a sincere interest in deepening cooperation. This was followed by a unique opportunity for our Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC), as ADM Dragone contributed to the curriculum by delivering a lecture. He discussed his views on adapting education and training for modern military leadership—a perfect addition to the M1 Strategic Leadership module.

BALTDEFCOL is profoundly grateful to all guest speakers who contribute their knowledge and share their experiences with our course participants.
